Seminary of Brixen/Bressanone

The Seminary of Brixen/Bressanone is located in the heart of the old town on the "Seminarplatz" directly behind the Brixen Cathedral. For more than 400 years it has been the training centre for future Catholic priests of the diocese of Bozen-Brixen. Its historical library and the Holy Cross Church are masterpieces of late Baroque architecture. The seminary also rents out rooms to guests throughout the year, who can find peace and quiet in this ecclesiastical house.

Piety and science
During their training the seminarians further develop their human, intellectual and spiritual qualities and abilities. The Seminary is closely linked to the Philosophical-Theological Academy Brixen, which is a higher education institution that offers courses of theology, philosophy and religious education. The academy is located on the premises. Lecture halls and conference rooms can be rented throughout the year based on availability.
